Sen. Lindsey Graham says ‘people are tired of the politics of division’
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said Thursday that “people are weary of the political divisions” between Democrats and Republicans.
Cruz said in an interview with ABC’s “This Week” that “there’s been a real effort by the Democrats to divide us and to divide the country and to try to tear us apart.”
He added, “we’ve been on the right side of that.”
The Senate minority leader said that the Republican Party has been “playing politics” and “dissolving families.”
He also accused the Democrats of “playing to the base” and said that “it’s really dangerous.”
Cruz said that he voted against the Iran deal.
He also said that Trump has failed to deliver on promises and that he will be “receiving a lot of criticism.”
“The president’s not been able to deliver.
And so I think it’s time for a real leadership crisis,” Cruz said.
The senator also accused Democrats of creating a “very dangerous” divide between the two parties.
“I’m tired of being a divided party.
We’re all tired of political polarization.
We want to get back to focusing on the issues,” Cruz told ABC’s Jonathan Karl.
